Residents are those residing in the Port Washington-Saukville School District.

Senior Citizen is defined as 60 years and older.

Please be prepared to show proof of age and residency.

The DAC will be CLOSED for Evening Swim due to High School Swim Meets on the following dates:

Thursday, September 9th- Port vs. Homestead, 6pm.

Saturday, September 18th- Port hosts Pirate Invite, 8am diving. Swimming to follow diving.

Thursday, September 30th- Port vs. Cedarburg, 6pm.

Thursday, October 19th- Port vs. Whitefish Bay, 6pm.

Friday, October 22nd- Port hosts JV & Varsity Diving Conference.

Saturday, October 30th- Port hosts

Varsity Swim Conference.

Fall Swim Lessons

Fall swim lessons will be on Wednesday nights. Lessons will run October 13th- November 17th, 2021  from 5:45 pm - 7:25 pm. Registration forms for Fall Swim Lessons  are located on the blue bulletin board as you enter the main pool entrance. 

There will be two lap lanes available during swim lessons for adult lap swim.

Class Description


                ● LOOK At Me Go,  Preschool Aquatics

  Preschool ages 4-5. Introduces basic aquatic skills, which participants continue to build on as they progress through each swim level. If your child has passed Look at Me Go, they may enter in Level 2, Learn-to-Swim.

● LEVEL 1, Learn-to-Swim  

Elementary school age 6 and up. Introduces basic aquatic skills, which participants continue to build on as they progress through each swim level. In addition, participants start developing positive attitudes, effective swimming habits, and safe practices in and around the water. Skills are expected to be performed with minimal assistance or independently. 

 ● LEVEL 2, Learn-to-Swim

Participants will learn fundamental skills. They will learn to float and glide with no support and recover to a vertical position. Participants will develop alternating arms and leg action on the front and back, laying the foundation for future strokes. New water safety topics are introduced, and previously acquired water safety knowledge and skills are reinforced. 

● LEVEL 3, Learn-to-Swim

Participants learn to practice survival floating and learn to swim front and elementary backstroke. They will also be introduced to the scissors kick and dolphin kick. Participants will learn the rules for headfirst entries and begin to learn to enter the water headfirst from a seated position, in deep water from the poolside. As in all levels, new and previously addressed water safety topics are included. Participants who successfully complete level 3 will have achieve basic water competence in a pool environment 


● LEVEL 4, Learn-to-Swim 

Participants will improve their aquatic skills and increase their endurance by swimming the strokes learned in level 3 with greater distance and with more proficiency. Participants will learn breaststroke kick, sidestroke, backcrawl, and butterfly, as well as basics of performing a simple open turn at the wall. 


              ● LEVEL 5, Learn-to-Swim             

Stroke Refinement: Guidance allows kids to refine their strokes and become more efficient swimmers.




AMERICAN RED CROSS SWIMMING AND WATER SAFETY COURSES

Children must be at least 5 years old to be in Levels 1-5.

Reopening Plan

We have a three phase opening plan and new guidelines. Please click to access a waiver form. The waiver must be completed before one is allowed to use our facility.

Phase 2 Reopening Plan Update

Good Afternoon,

We are happy to announce,

starting Monday, May 10th, 2021. We will be adding to the District’s phase 2 reopening plan.

This will include adult lap swim and open/family swim for District Residents and Non-District Residents.

Capacity is 50 patrons. This is 25% capacity in accordance with the Washington/Ozaukee County Health Department. If we reach capacity, we kindly ask you wait outside until the ‘reached capacity’ sign is removed from the window/pool door.

`Sign-in is required upon entry in the pool(daily) for Covid contact tracing purposes. If you’re fully vaccinated you are not required to sign-in.

`A one time Covid waiver form must be completed by all patrons(including children) before you are allowed to swim, even if you’re fully vaccinated.

`Masks must be worn on the pool deck and in the locker rooms.

`Limit 8 patrons in the locker rooms at a time. Be mindful of your time spent changing, so others do not have to wait.

`Showers are open for use. Please put your mask on after showers.

`Open Swim- please stay with your family and distance from other families as much as possible.

`6 people per lap lane during adult lap swim. 3 patrons on each end of the lane. Minimize stopping at the wall while other people are resting as much as possible.

`See Diving Board Rules and Pool Rules posted on the wall.

`Use “X’ on bences to distance in the pool area.

Pass Information-

`Non-District Residents and Family (district & non-district) who are a current pass holder from March of 2020 will have their passes extended until December 31, 2021.

`In District Residents who are current pass holders from March of 2020 will have their passes extended until June 30, 2021.

Passes and summer passes are available for purchase starting May 17, 2021. See a lifeguard for information and to purchase one.

phase two of the pool reopening plan

On January 4th, 2021 we will be moving into phase two of the pool reopening plan.

This entails the following,

-Port Washington-Saukville Resident plus CURRENT 2020 out of district pass holders will be able to utilize the pool for adult lap swim only.

-Family/open swim is not available at this time.

-15 years and older can swim during adult lap time. You must be swimming/jogging laps, if you’re not you will be asked to leave.

-You are asked to sign a one-time Covid waiver when you arrive. If you’re under 18 you will need a parent signature.

-Due to the shutdown earlier this year. If you’re a current 2020 pass holder, your pass will be extended until June 30th, 2021.

-When the DAC reopens fully for open/family swim we will extend those passes as well.

-Please Note- At this time passes will NOT be sold to out of district patrons for adult lap swim. Passes will only be sold to Port Washington-Saukville residents. This is to make sure that Port Washington-Saukville residents have first access to the pool.

-Max capacity of the pool with be 35 patrons.

-Watch for signs in the window and on the doors to see if the pool is at capacity when you arrive. You will have to wait to enter the pool until the capacity has lowered.

-4 patrons per lap lane, circle swimming.

Lane set Up for 4 patrons as follows,

•Two patrons at each ends of the pool

•One patron starts/stops at the wall in both ends of the pool.

•One patron starts/stops at the flags at both ends of the pool to maintain distance.

•If you need to stop swimming and your stationed at the flags, please move far enough over to the right side of the lane lines, to allow other swimmers to go around you.

-4 patrons in the diving well at a time. Make sure to maintain a 6 foot distance. 2 patrons on each end of the diving well.

-Aqua Fit, Senior Classes, and Aqua Zumba classes will be counted in the patron capacity. These classes have lanes reserved at certain times. Patrons will be asked to clear these lanes so they can run classes.

-Locker room use will be available for changing! We asked a max of 4 patrons change in the locker rooms at a time.

-Masks are to be worn on deck and in the locker rooms by patrons.

-Lifeguard are to wear masks when off the stand or interacting with patrons. They are not required to wear masks on the stand per Governor Evers mask mandate order, this could interfere with a rescue.

Phase one reopening plan for Patrons 

  • Enter the pool through the side doors in back of the school(ramp) then enter through the main pool doors inside of the building.

  • Exit through the brown emergency exit doors in the pool.

  • Face coverings are required upon entering the pool, when exiting the building, and on deck, with the exceptions of getting in and out of the pool.

  • If you’re feeling ill, have signs and/or symptoms of being sick, please stay home!

  • Swimmers must sign in daily- Name, Address, Phone number, and have a waiver form on file (to monitor who was at pool/notify people of exposure to Covid).

  • Patrons use hand sanitizer after paying guard and before signing in.

  • The showers or changing areas/locker rooms will not be available for that purpose. Please change into your suit and be clean before coming to the pool.

  • Restrooms will be open, but not for changing. 

  • The bottle filling station will be available, bring your own water bottles. The drinking fountain has been turned off.

  • Follow markings on pool deck, one way traffic to benches and swim lanes.

  • Used social distance markings on benches when placing belongings.

  • Please place a cone marker where you were stationed, so it can be sanitized after leaving.

  •  Follow the pool rules and Covid rules.

  •  Please use the hand sanitizer stations on deck when appropriate

Lap swim

The DAC will initially only open for early morning Adult lap swim for PWSSD District residents. Out of district pass holders will be next in-line followed by fully open status. Outside groups will not be allowed in phase one(outside groups must submit a Covid safety plan to the District office for approval before returning to use the pool).
 You may purchase a pass if you’re a PWSSD resident.
Please bring exact change if you’re paying in cash and an ID/verification that you live in PWSSD.
Guards will check license or address on passes to verify that patrons are in PWSSD District. 
Lap swim only. 
The diving well will be open for water exercise only.
Lap swim will be 2 per lane, starting at opposites side of the pool

-Pool Capacity =35

You must fill out a waiver (one time) at the desk before entering the pool, or print one and bring this along.

Open Swim

 No open swim, or family swim at this time.

Private Lessons

We have the initial goal of limited access beginning on Tuesday, September 8th.  Next week we will get more details out to you about what we will be doing to safely welcome you back, and the things you will need to do to help us.

Daily Fees

We have two different fees based on a patrons residence. Residents are those who live within the borders of the school district (Port Washington or Saukville). Nonresidents are those who live outside of the school district boundaries (Grafton, Ferdonia, Cedarburg, Mequon or Theinsville). Please be prepared to provide proof of residence upon request.

Do you offer 1-on-1 swim lessons?

Yes. We offer private swim lessons for ages 6 months and up. Each lesson is 45 minutes in length and is $25 per lesson. We focus on what the student, or guardian, would like to work on. It is your time.
